From Greece - Dol Ammad

I'm not one to usually post about new bands but I ran across these guys on Myspace and the songs they posted are fucking incredible. It's like a mixture of Therion, Rhapsody with a little electronica thrown in. (ok, may more electronica on lava than some may like but I love the vocals and arrangements)

I just ordered the CD from the bands webstore and it was only 15.83 including shipping. I can't wait to hear the whole thing.

Wow. This band was recommended to me by a friend and I heard it and thought it was cool but didn't think much of it because I had never heard of them or seen their stuff for sale anywhere ever.

Then this past week I was in Charleston, SC, visiting my girlfriend and I went to a CD store and found Star Tales by Dol Ammad for 7 bucks in their used rack. I picked it up and have since found it to be quite a weird album. It's good, though; but I think it's a grower and still needs to grow on me. But wow, 12 vocalists.

Eh, I liked it, but they've got a long way to go before they get it down pat. Understandable for something so different.
