From the Start ... Saxon Chronicles

I have a few complaints about this dvd, even though its one of the best ive ever seen

Disc 1:
.You cant hear Nibbs at all and the drum sound is poor
.You cant hear the audience singing along

Disc 2:
.Why did they choose the Ejsberg rock festival? Its quite possibly the worst live clip they could have chosen-Playing at 11 in the morning to a small crowd of Danish middle aged people in matching shirts while people sit around having a picnic!!! Im sure theres a million clips of them playing to 50,000 drunken maniacs in the middle of the night. You could say it shows how versatile they are and how they can rock whatever place they play

However the Wacken set is great and really shows them rocking, and the slideshow is very interesting along with making of UTB.

Any comments, disagreements?

I like the DVD and let's face it, if and when they put something out like that it's a good thing for all of us fans.

I did think it was odd to have footage of them in the daylight as it's abit out of the norm if ya know what I mean?

I really don't have any issues and like I said, I'm happy with it.

Saxon in daylight seems odd.But by the time they play wheels of steel they havw won over the crowd.

if you pause the dvd at a point where there is a shot of the side of the stage you will see that also on the bill that day/weekend were black sabbath (with tony martin) fleetwood mac and wet wet wet its on a running list printed at the side of the pa system

Really enjoyed both discs... would have been nice to have that DOGS OF WAR video, though. maybe on the next dvd...great stuff overall, very pleased with it.

I actualy enjoyed those three songs played in small concert in Denmanrk more than what I enjoyed that Wacken concert, I didn't like it at all. The 2nd disc was the best IMO, I loved those promo videos and tv interviews...

Btw, I don't know really any DVDs where you can actualy hear the crowd singing. That's rare at least.

Ordered Saxon Live Innocence today.. hope it's good! Damn I loved that Rock Legends DVD, it's the best of the best!

Maybe they put it on there to see how hard they had worked and toured to get back on top Ie Headlining wacken

I love chronicles too,the only complaint is that I would like to see more focus on Quinny's guitar solos,they flash on him for a couple seconds,then they show a different view while the solo is still happening.the same for Doug,the gave attention the the solo before Wheels of Steel,which was great,they just use the other angles when I think more attention should be given to solos.
