If you want a lightweight, no-frills - just tone guitar that won't burn a hole in your pocket than this is what your looking for.

Made 2008 in the USA but acquired in 2009 (late March), this Melody Maker is in very good condition. I only used it at home, at work and for less than a handful of rehearsals.

Solid mahogany body and set-in neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound bridge and one hot(!) custom Melody Maker single-coil with 1 tone and 1 volume control.

Despite its very back-friendly weight, this is probably the most responsive and "loud" guitar (unplugged) I've ever heard. And I've owned a Caparison.

I compared it to several Fenders (like the 50s strats) when I purchased it and tonally, it blew them out of the water. You just can't beat the hard-tail + solid mahogany combination when it comes to full and meaty tones.

This thing might look like it's the ultimate one-trick-pony, but I beg to differ! If you never used the tone pot on your guitars, chances are you will with the melody maker.

The single coil is designed to be really bright when the tone pot is completely open, so you can get almost twangy strat-type of tones. Roll it back a bit and you get a really rounded tone that's suitable for everything from blues to rock and punk and even metal! Not full on death metal maybe, but classic metal up to Metallica territory is definitely doable.

The color is "worn white". "Worn" as in you can see the wood grain through it and there are some pseudo-used marks (no damages, straight from the factory that way for the "vintage vibe").

All that praise and I'm trying to load it off, so where is the catch? Well, I realised, I'm simply made for Teles. They just suit me so well. This is the last non-Tele guitar in my collection and I'm about to change that.

I paid 398,- € for it, late March 09. I think 200,-€ plus Shipping would be a very good price.

I'm also interested in trades. Interfaces, instruments (preferably Teles) etc. Open for offers.
