Fucking wow!

Tell me the fucking style of the band you stupid cunts!! I don't care wether you like them, i just want to know what they play...!!!!

GAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Fuck!!

Actually I've seen them mentioned on this board a couple of times (and I don't visit the board that often... sorry). I first heard about ETOS when Chaotic Beauty came out: Great album! Their latest, A Virgin And A Whore, is a bit disappointing, compared to Chaotic Beauty (IMO).
Style, you ask? Well, it's quite aggressive, with grunting/grumbling vocals (and occasional female vox), but also some nice keyboard work every now and then which keeps it more or less melodic... IMO there's too much keyboard on the new album though.

Okay. I know OFFICIALLY hate this band....!!! No-one will tell me what they play!! Fuck you all.... TWICE!!

I hate 'Eternal Tears of Sorrow'... simply because you mother-fuckers keep going on about how good they are, and you wont fucking tell me what style they play??

This is the thanks I get for all my hard work in the "Atheist' thread posting proper descriptions of a number of bands PLUS!! their websites!!

Cheers and fuck you.
I am leaving the Opeth board forever now, you people have FINALLY done it.

I didn't describe it because I SUCK at describing music. I'll give it a go anyway, since no one else volunteered.

EToS's overall style it similar to Dark tranquility. They have a brutal death vox with the occasional female vox. They are definitely melodic-death metal. They tend to use the keyboard to augment their melodies (Dimmu Borgir, anyone?) but they do it better than anyone else I've heard.

Example is Aurora Borealis. This song starts off with a good keyboard intro, followed by guitars and a keyboard sound that sort of reminds you of the Northern Lights. Their death vocals always seem to sound "under" the melodies. You can hear the vocals clearly, but they seems to blend with the melodies rather than sound above them. The song occasionally breaks into keyboard interludes, followed by the guitar.

In Nightwind's Lullaby, it starts off with a small kayboard into, then breaks into guitars and vocals. The guitar carries the main melody as the guy sings. Then they break into a female vocal singing a lullaby, then repeats, going back to the death vocals, then once again to the female singing. Afterwards it goes into another keyboard to guitar solo. This formula repeats throughout the song.

Basically think Dark Tranquility with keyboards.

There, you big baby. I'm officially not talking to you. I HATE trying to describe music because I suck so much at it. I hope you're satisfied.
