BLADECATCHER Obverse EP out April 13th via EEE Recordings!

Bladecather’s Obverse EP has a primarily orthodox, almost primitive Death Metal sound/structure and hints of technicality. It’s a fucking mammoth, well written chunk of dark and twisted death, by a guy who can play the hell out of his instruments. Every riff is blazing fast and incredibly addictive, so much so you’ll surely run through this EP three times in a row without difficulty.

After the demise of the decade long musical excursion known as Njiqahdda, main songwriter E. had a burning desire to create the heaviest, most crushing music that he could. In that desire, Bladecatcher was born. Created in late 2014 (and recorded in 2015), the debut “Obverse” showcases uncompromising, unapologetic and utterly crushing death metal. Unchallenged cosmic Slam/Death from Colorado.

Out Now: SHRINE OF THE SERPENT - Shrine Of The Serpent

The best Doom creates an indefinable feeling of dread and a sinking feeling like no other. It may be shrouded in epic atmosphere or dressed up with lighter instrumentation, but the conclusion is a foregone one: man's ultimate demise. And if it is Deathly Doom akin to the style played by Portland's SHRINE OF THE SERPENT, the end comes a bit quicker.

"Shrine Of The Serpent" is filled with creepy, buzzing riffs and Todd Janeczek's gut-wrenching gutturals, the songs are significantly enhanced with a dark atmosphere that send shivers, chills, and dreadful feelings through the listeners body just the way it is supposed to be. An impressive debut 30 minute EP from a band that understands the sonic conveyance of mental anguish.

This is a massive, lumbering, seething wall of sound that the listener just can't help but become immersed in. "The First Chapter" is a journey that'll take many listens to fully appreciate, but is richly rewarding to anyone open-minded and musically ravenous enough to make the trip.
