I talked to Isabel about it, and went and saw it too. I'd seen the Austrian original previously, but it's still an awesome movie.

Weird theme of attacking audiences' bloodlust; I'm intrigued.

Yeah, it's shot for shot. It's difficult to explain the merits if you've not watched either. Sufficed to say they are different, and elements of the movie have aged since the original was released.
