IMPERIA Part Ways With Guitarist And Drummer - June 16, 2004 IMPERIA, the new band fronted by former TRAIL OF TEARS singer Helena Iren Michaelsen (photo#1, photo#2), have parted ways with guitarist Henri Sattler (GOD DETHRONED) and drummer Arjen van Weesenbeek (GOD DETHRONED).

Sattler and van Weesenbeek's departures are being attributed to possible future complications stemming from potential scheduling conflicts with their other band. Replacing them will be will be Jan Yrlund (ex-ANCIENT RITES) and Steve Wolz (BETHLEHEM) on guitar and drums, respectively.

As previously reported, IMPERIA have pushed back the release date of their debut album, "The Ancient Dance of Qetesh" to late July. The CD is currently being mixed at Franky's Recording Kitchen in Nieuwleusen, Holland. Audio samples of several cuts from the album be downloaded in MP3 format at this location.
