Just stopped listening November Rain and now it's Don't Cry, damn this band was amazing.

I remember when I was 14 and I singed Don't Cry on our music test (or whatta hell it was called)....

Yeah, they kicked an unruly amount of ass for three albums (two if you count UYI as one). I think my favorite is "Estranged" (although you basically have no soul if you don't like "Sweet Child O' Mine"). "Locomotive" is a great overlooked track as well.

No offence, but you're just too young for this.
Possibly. I was exposed to some of their stuff when it was on the radio etc, but I was pretty young. Anyhoo, some of my friends keep wanting to play Guns 'n' Roses over and over at parties and whatnot and Sweet Child o' Mine gets really fuckin annoying after about 20 times. :p

Immigrants and faggots
They make no sense to me
They come to our country
And think they'll do as they please
Like start some mini Iran,
Or spread some fuckin' disease
They talk so many goddamn ways
It's all Greek to me

Greatest lyrics ever.

About being young and Erik, I must write why I thought about that, as I think Erik is a great guy and I didn't want to bash him:

I actually was introduced to GnR when Appetite LP was released, as I remember the vinyl came with these awesome machine raping stickers. I really liked the music, also the crosses on the field (later discovered them to be Metallica's Puppets) interested me. Those guitars on the wall made strange noises with some strange pedal and plectum over the strings. I thought it was weird, only few years after me and my cousin (who owned this stuff) were drinking together and hanging.......long hair over my face and I could get every bar......damn, that was great!

one of the finest bands in history. they had some seriously brilliant stuff for a bit there. i mean even the ballads weren't gay, once i grew up a bit anyhow.

when i was 14 i would always skip shit like Estranged and everything but the end of November Rain. :loco:

slash's lead tone is fucking perfect.

so true, man

also, were UYI I and II recorded at the same time? I've never bothered to figure that one out.. but his rhythm tone on I is just so .. AGHHHHHHHHHHH .. that freakin' good, best tone ever, and on II it's just not the same..

I have no idea how the recording process for that went, maybe it was "hey let's put the majority of our fucking whiney emo shit on II"

I go back and forth on it, depending on mood

both albums have too much filler imo, but the quality tracks more than make up for it.
