Gamma Ray confirm

We'll be making an official posting within the next few days of the majority of the lineup, so for the Friday night main stage it is going to be Gamma Ray, Threshold, Sinergy, Illuminatus, Infobia. An unbelievable evening of metal if I say so myself, and 3/5 BRITISH to boot!!

Woohoo!!!......time to buy our 2 day tickets then :hotjump:
To us Gamma Ray are worth the ticket price for both days on their own :D
( Not that the rest of the line up isn't f**ing excellent also !)

Better book my mate's garden to pitch our tent for the weekend again this year too....lol, we can find a few ditches to fall in and pretend it's Wacken :headbang:

Theres about 5 bands i'd gladly pay the full price jsut to see them alone! :p

Gamma ray eh...my first ever power metal experience all those years ago when i heard beyond the black hole. Last 2 years I didn't want to leave...this is the best line-up yet so it's going to kill me having to come home!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

well I have heard of gamma ray, and i know they are v. popular band but i dont think i heard any of their stuff :(. So i want a couple of reccomendations...
I want 2 albums...
1 old one (the older ones always the best ;))
and a recent one cos songs played live usually come from recent albums. thanks

Eagle's the man for this, but 'PowerPlant' / 'No World Order' are excellent, and their first album 'Heading for Tomorrow' still sounds great.

'Somewhere out in space' is also supposed to be good, but it's the only one I haven't got.

You could try the 'skeletons in the closet' CD for a tater of GR live. That's cool too.

Probably quicker to tell you that the only album I don't like as much as the rest of theirs is 'Insanity and Genius'. It's still good, but a couple of 'toe-curlers' on that one

If you only want to get two albums get powerplant and no world order, two great albums, if you want early stuff i recomend you just get blast from the past, its a best of thing, double cd, a good mix of old and new... And yeh for a live taster get skeletons... Also you can watch a streaming video of them in sweden, its great... www.hultsfred.tv
