I watched your band's myspace page and what I found was pretty interesting.
Your band's EP cover looks just like a rip-off from an Estonian band called Still Haunts Me (I am from Estonia also, so I know).

Artwork is just temporary (will make new one when we release the ep)
And yes I did a total ripoff, only because its a simple artwork and I didnt had the energy to create something orignial considering its just a test myspace so far , the current myspace layout/code was created so I could copy/paste the code into the new one later on.
(Wasn't even suppose to share the myspace until the real version is done, but we just wanted to tease ya all with the extremely short clip )
So yeah, sorry bout' that

looks to me like same artist milking it. some of the biggest artists do it... e.g., Michael Whelan, Hugh Syme, HR Giger, etc.

interesting side note: the girl in the pic is Hugh Syme's own daughter, taken when she was very young... she's in her 30's now i believe.

the instances of the same/similar works of HR Giger being licensed to multiple bands and book publishers are too numerous to list. so this phenomenon is not really anything new, or terribly interesting. certainly not controversial, at least not in the legal sense.

the whole slice the cake band name thing was a joke between me and jonas a while back. after we did cleansed, we were thinking of making a project between us two and making it official n shit and we couldnt think of a band name and jonas did this bullshit logo and used "SLICE THE CAKE" and i fell in love with it. i think so many metal bands take themselves mega seriously with their image and band name and all that. my doom band is called "foetus in a jar" and we named ourselves such as a bit of a joke at first, and then we realised it's actually the best band name ever. Why? because it's the worst band name ever.
as far as im concerned, slice the cake is the exact same premise band name wise. silly band name, serious music. as far as i see it, you can still have totally serious music and have a silly band name, why not?

and i didnt do the artwork, jonas did, bitch him out, not me!

So what? It's still not cool that you STOLE someone else's art and used it as your own. There is this thing called copyright law, ya know.
