I feel like the guitars need more emphasis. I've been after a bigger mid sound these last few months, but this randall RH100 seems to not like 1k at all.

The overall mix is good. I'd maybe lower the reverb on the snare just a tad but that's just a taste issue. It sounds epic already.

These guitars sound good. That high mid area is an important spot for vocals too so I bet vocals would sit well in this mix. If it's an instrumental I'd probably boost the high mids a bit. Maybe a bit more volume on those guitars?

EDIT: Dunno if this has anything to do with djent though.

Fuck, sometimes I forget that people usually want vocals with a song. You are probably right about sitting the vocals in that high mid spot, I just seem to have completely overlooked that. I have the guitars coming through Satson for a bit of saturation, any higher on the levels and I'll have to completely rework the high end so it doesn't fuck up the attack of my drums like it's already fucking up my bass.
