It's pretty amasing! Some glitches have occured and a lost connection when a match is ended. But overall it's a huge improvement from GOW2. Retrolancer+Gnasher is what I'm currently most comfortable with. Sawed-Off shotgun is so hard to use that I ditched it right away. And the other players online are so much better than me that playing can get frustrating at times.

Been playing a bit. Not a fan of the sawed off shotgun as you literally need to be on top of your opponent to get anything out of it. Retro lancer is cool for the charge but it's inaccurate as hell. Currently I'm still most comfortable with the lancer and the gnasher. I love running about chopping folk up with my chainsaw, got a 6 kill streak in under 30 seconds using it the other day 
New maps are a bit of a mixed bag I think. Trenches is great, Thrashball is ok, really don't like checkout. Not played old town yet.
I like the fact that the game's much faster than the old Gears, can get a bit frantic though.
It's quite hard to find balanced matches I think. More than once I've ended up getting my arse kicked, everyone on my team leaves and I end up with a team of shitty bots playing against a team of guys who are level 20+ (I'm currently level 7) I need more noobs to play against!

it's super confusing if you start a game and get into a game that is already halfway through. There's so much going on when this happens. I'm only level 4 since i can't play that much.
I haven't played oldtown either but so far i think the maps are better than in gow2. There's not really solid hiding places in the 3 maps i've played and that's definately a good thing. Or maybe in the sand map the sniper guy is pretty safe.
i love how they changed the active reload so that every gun doesn't have the exact same spot where you have to push the reload button again.
And what do you think about the flame grenades? It's fun to have them but really annoying to be a target since they kill instantly.

Haha dude I'm like the complete opposite of you I love checkout and hate trenches and I use the retro lancer and the sawed off one thing I realized about it that works pretty effective for me is that you can't use the sawed off as your primary weapon, use the retro lancer at mid range and if they get close enough to you pull out the sawed off its pretty legit especially when people with gnashers think they can kill you when they get close because your using a retro lancer
Overall I think the game is pretty amazing though I really do find it annoying everyone quits and leaves you with a bunch of bots and alot of kills get stolen also haha and yeah I feel like mostly hardcore fans are the ones playing the beta so most of them are pretty good

Yeah the flame grenades are cool but they are annoying haven't actually used them but have been killed by them more than enough times, I also hate the one-shot!!!!!
Is the gameplay any better? I love the single player and co-op, but the multyplayer always felt too sluggish, with unresponsive controls.
Its amazing dude, its still alittle buggy cuz its a beta but you should go get it 5 dollars down pre-order at game stop and you can always cancel your pre-order if you dont like it

The whole thing plays MUCH faster, to the point of being pretty frantic at times. Give it a go man I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
