...Modeling Shit. I like it for Blues, Jazz, crunchy and clean tones, but I can't get a good metal-sound out of it. Plus i prefer tube amps over modeling.

It's not a multi-effect, but it's....amazing.
If you have the money, get a (used?) line6 pod xt. Then you can buy the "metal-package" and update the pod. That's pretty cool!

yeah, many people have been talking good about the pod, but i'm afraid he is too limited... or something
i looked today Mikael Åkerfeldt set, and he uses the GT-8 and i love their sound, and i love PRS too <3

I only use effects on my podxt when recording and shit... when actually playing through an amp I neeeeever use effects, they're gay.
Practising with effects through the amp is useful for practising live playing. So I dont see how they are "gay".
