Gelling guitars and bass

Hey Guys, I've been trying to get a great bass and guitar tone with some pretty limited gear, what do you think?

Guitar is pod xt, drums are reason (I couldn't be bothered to process, this is just a demo) and the bass is a cheap cort using the pod as a DI.

Is there too much bass? I'm not sure the tones gel at all.

sounds good, just the right amount of bass for my ears

I can't help but think about Symphony X's Edge of Forever when the clean part kicks in, was that intentional?

I'd say a little less 100-200hz, and a little more around 50-100hz for the bass guitar. mix sounds good though!

haha no It wasn't intentional, I thought it was a little reminiscent of Blind Guardian (which i love), the earlier part of the song is a little symphony x-esque too.

Yeah funnily enough i removed around 30dB around 500hz and 24dB around 100-200, the bass is absolutely awful direct in haha!
