Generic Crabby/Post-Hardcore Mix

hi

im reading in this forum for a while, but i didn't registered until now

so i read a few threads about mixing, eqing and that stuff because i want to mix my bands first ep.. we already purchased piezo sensors, because we want to trigger our drums with addictive drums(at least the kick)


i want your opinion for the mix, but if you hate "generic chug chug breakdown" stuff just don't listen.. and for those ppl who like generic stuff just like me , tell me what you think about the riff/break also

snare horrid, are you using beatcraft or something, needs more velocity altering.

Not bad. The drums sound a bit too artificial. Drums also sound a little too far away. Maybe just too low volume. Guitars are good to my ears. I'd probably turn the bass up too. But that might be just me. I'm no professional, just a beginner but that's what I hear.

atm i'm using the demo of mixcraft 5, do i need to change the velocity in mixcraft because im using ad-drums and i thought ad does this automatically

ya i agree i would just change up the samples if possible on basically the whole kit, theres a bunch of places on this forum with free drum samples , i dont really know about the guitars theyre pretty good but i would be interested to here them with different drums
