Getting that fullrange ride sound??

what mics do you use, EQ, dynamics?
i have used lots of different mics, different rides, but i dont get that Sneap ride ping/fat/rich sound.

depending on the ride and style I'm either using an m160 or 414

believe it or not: i love a 57 under the ride. the proximity effect of a 57 is usually exactly what i need to get the tone and clarity of it right

I manually sample replace it half the time. sounds cool. Anyway, I'm pretty sure Mr. Sneap mics from underneath most of the time.

You get the sound at mic placement, really, VERY drastic.
