Ghost

Unfortunately I doubt it...pretty sure I read something back when Repugnant was announced saying that MDF was their only date because they couldn't stay in the states long, or something like that. And we all know the Repugnant-Ghost connection.

It depends on 2 things. 1) if they signed a contract with Ryan and Evan that makes them exclusive to MDF and that they can't play any other shows legally. Sometimes this is the case if the fest is fronting their visas and flights. It's not fair to other promoters to make money off of MDF's investment, you know?

2) if the band has an agent in the US, but from what I've heard, everyone in the music industry is pretty much eyeballing the shit out of this band.

Hmmm? I just MIGHT POSSIBLY be able to top some of those shows,
jasonic!

I saw Helloween w/ Kiske on the VERY FIRST MTV'S
Headbangers Ball Tour, opening for Exodus & Anthrax!

I also saw Trouble open for Savatage on the Gutter Ballet tour!

I also saw Savatage play for nearly 3 hours for the Hall Of The Mountain King tour

I also saw the mighty Sanctuary, open for Warlock & Megadeth!

I saw Coroner open for Kreator for the Extreme Agression tour,

I saw Testament, when they were touring for The Legacy, open for Anthrax
on their Among The Living tour,

I saw Bloodfeast open for Death Angel on the very first tour of
The Ultra-Violence tour,

I saw Dio on his Sacred Heart tour (w/ Laser Sword & giant dragon)
w/ Rough Cutt opening,

I saw RAY GILLEN sing w/ Black Sabbath on the Seventh Star tour in 1986,
w/ W.A.S.P. opening,

I saw Ozzy on the Bark At The Moon tour,
w/ Motley Crue opening on their Shout At The Devil Tour,

I saw Iron Maiden on the World Slavery/Live After Death tour,
w/ Twisted Sister opening on their Stay Hungry tour,

oh & Samhain w/ Glenn Danzig & Errie Von in 1986
for The November Coming Fire tour.

but I'm still pretty sure you can top mine bro!:kickass:

Ah! That's my favorite one to rub in!!

That really chaps The Q's hide, all the time.....

Wanna hear about the time I saw Sanctuary open for Warlock and Megadeth, or Annihilator and Flotsam and Jetsam open for King Diamond, or Danzig and Trouble open for Slayer, or Anacrusis and Vio-Lence open for VoiVod???

Nah, who would be interested in THOSE crappy lineups, when we have BLACKGUARD and POWERGLOVE on every tour!!!! :)

Right but you don't need more visas and flights for Ghost. Repugnant was already booked for MDF haha. Ghost was a cheap replacement....no extra costs (aside from probably being paid to play the Ghost set). There probably is some contractual stuff in place but I just don't see Goore and co. drastically changing their travel plans.

I'd be happy, though. Very happy.

Nice list. I was at all the above, though only difference was for the WORLD SLAVERY TOUR, I saw the summer 85 tour with ACCEPT opening.

I don't want to derail this thread, but it might be time to recreate the "COMPLETE SHOW HISTORY" thread I did a while back where everyone posts every show they ever attended.

It is crazy with the prices people will pay. The first Acid Witch CD is going for some high prices too. I remember at Metal Haven they had a bunch just sitting there.

The Elizabeth 7'' goes for like $150-$200 usually. There's a funny picture floating around the internet of someone setting it on fire and extinguishing the flames with his, uh, stream.

That is funny. There was this guy back in the old punk days who took pictures with himself using rare punk vinly as coasters and plates for his dinner. His theory was to piss off record collectors and people who paid high price for vinyl. It was pretty clever but also pretty stupid because I am sure this guy isnt making money and those records could have paid his rent. oh well.

might have, never been to Chicago and havent been to a show in years..and Zuul rules

Zuul live are great. They are insane onstage. Very high energy. Plus the Red Line Tap is a fun place for shows. Very small but everyone who goes there is there for the music so everyone gets into it big time. When Deceased played last year it was the most fun at a show I have had in a long time.

That's insane... It's not like we are talking ROADSTER RECORDS Manilla Road stuff or anything...........

Well, the reality is that there is a whole new crop of 20 something record collectors who didn't grow up on vinyl. This is why labels are doing limited pressing ressiues of classic albums.

As a former vinyl junkie who had to force himself to go cold turkey, I know how addicting it can become.

Sounds good bro! Although, I homestly don't know if I could remember
ALL the shows I went to back in the day?!
From being too wasted & out of it back then,
but hell bro, I can certainly try! lol:kickass:
