It's on the radio right now, reminding me of how lame that was. "Hey, let's put our lamest song on TWO albums and slightly change the lyrics for one version!"

I like it better than "November rain" and "Sweet child o' mine" though, although it's one of the songs I usually skips when I hear either ones of the "Illusion" albums. I never really liked any ballads by metal bands, except a very, very few here & there.

Ballads are okay sometimes, I like November Rain now that I'm older. I used to fast foward it to the metal part of the song 10 years ago though. :)

all GN'R ballads suck -- still I claim I'm a fan  (my first hard rock/metal band)
well, there's one ballad that does not suck at all, but it's not a ballad in this sense, more a psycho-trip: COMA :notworthy:

As you can see by the depressing/cry songs threads it's not that I don't like ballads, it's just that when a metal/hard rock band make them it's usually gross. But then again, most of the ballads/sad stuff that I like is from the 60's, so that might be the reason why most ballads today are gross, as I think there aren't really much sad stuff from the 70's, 80's & 90's.
Second of all, I think GN'R's "Coma" is the best song they ever did, right after "Nightrain" of course!

I personally think Estranged is one great song. I may be the only one who appreciates the work it takes for them [GNR] to write and play such music, but whatever...
