Actually it wasn't because of Officer Nice, though that may have been one of the final straws. Mark has been kicking the idea of removing reputation since even before post counts were removed from visible posts. People have been complaining about rep since it's been on, and he finally didn't want to hear about it anymore. I assume.
I had 3600+ points... a lot less than Hearse, but I really didn't care. It was a nice way of telling someone something without having to PM them, but some people just take things way too seriously.
