Go Port!

I watched the game on and off. Quite a dull sport, isn't it? It would be much better if they cut about 40 minutes off of it.

At least us Brisbane folk can have a break from having the Lions forced down our throat until next year.

Don't judge the sport by one game. Both games last week were top fucking notch, you should have watched those.

I picked Port, but I would have preferred Brisbane to win, just so Collingwood could go stick their record of four wins in a row. Brisbane's downward spiral has begun.

I only listened to patches of the game on the radio while at work. What I heard sounded pretty exciting, but having the big names of Lynch, Voss, Brown and Tredrea all basically sidelined because of injury of poor form would have taken away some of the gloss..

And going directly against what I said earlier (about preferring Brisbane to win a 4th straight), I’m happy Port won!

Ahh.. the joy’s of neutrality. :)

How can you say it was a poor game?

Port had brilliant running skills which over-ran the Lions in the first quarter and the two goals by Akermanis kept them in it. The entire first half basically had sporatic fighting. Brisbane fought back hard in the 2nd. And Port clearly dominated in the third with greater precision and control and the Lions were left for dead.

By the fourth term the game was pretty much over so we had a slower version of footy.

The first three quarters were decent, but the last was slow.

Brisbane displayed flashes of Brilliance but Port just played brilliantly throughout the entire day.

I can't see how you could call the first 3 quarters boring.

I never said it was a poor game, I said that the skills on display were poor. Brisbane couldn't kick, or handball, or get the ball through the goal posts, or run or basically get anything they tried to work, even when it an open field for them.

Port started poorly, but definately picked up towards the end of the first half. Which is why they won. Brisbane just couldn't rise to the occasion.

totally pretending too ;)

Port's start was magical, we were unreal. Then towards the end of the first half we WEREN'T unreal, but Brisbane were putting in a great effort.

To say that we only won becaues of Brisbane injuries is a load of horse shit. If they can't win with injuries, then they don't deserve to win. We had, arguably our two best players, Primus and Francou sidelined for the whole season, but we still won the flag.

GO FUKKIN' PORT ADELAIDE, I AM FUKKIN HAPPY AND RUNK TO THE MAX@! ROKK ON FOREVER AND EVER AND EVEREVEREVER!

Yeah that confused me too. Especially after watching yesterday's game (NRL), which was just boring.

AFL is flowing and Rugby is just stop-start, and they just run into the opposition, in my opinion they should be trying to open up gaps but that generally only happens when the opposion makes some monumental mistake.

In AFL anything can happen. NRL is too bogged down by the stupidity of the players (though I do like the smaller ones: they break free well) and the formulatic rules.

Anyone who thought last night's game was boring obviously has no idea. And yes, I fully expect you guys to say the same thing to me about AFL.

 The Bulldogs/Panthers game was boring? People in Melbourne must be on crack. And PCP. Probably Heroin as well.

When the greatest thing about the game is the massive fight that started before the siren went, you know you are on shaky ground.
