Gods to the Godless...

"Cluny Scotch Whisky is one of America's top selling domestically bottled blended Scotches, made up of a marriage of over 30 malt whiskies from all regions of Scotland and the finest aged grain whiskies. Cluny's high malt whisky content gives it a richer flavor and superior taste to like-priced competitors, making it one of the best overall values in the Scotch category today."

Sounds pretty interesting. I thought it couldn't be called Scotch unless it was from Scotland, though, no? For example, bourbon can ONLY come from the state of Kentucky, champagne can only come from France, etc.

Jack Daniels is a blended whiskey, FYI. Blends are cool, but nothing beats a solid 100% bourbon!

Bourbon only being called "bourbon" is a matter of a law in this country. I'm not sure what would prevent a whiskey distiller from calling his whiskey "scotch whiskey". I'm guessing the only thing preventing someone outside of the Champagne region of France from calling their wine "champagne" is tradition. Obviously, pure speculation on my part.

Couldn't agree more. I'll drink Jack, if I'm desperate. It's not swill. That said, as with most things, you get what you pay for. Woodford Reserve = :worship:.

I thought there was more to it than that, Greg?

I know for a fact that champagne can only come from the champagne region of France, it has something to do with the soil. Everything else is sparkling wine, but I'm not even 1/2 the whiskey/bourbon connoisseur you are.
