According to The Pulse Of Radio, GODSMACK singer Sully Erna has landed a role in a new boxing movie called "Bleed For This", starring Miles Teller, Katey Sagal and Aaron Eckhart. Erna made his acting debut last year in a low-budget horror film called "Army Of The Damned", and told The Pulse Of Radio that acting is something he continues to pursue. "It depends on what it is, and I'm constantly auditioning and doing stuff for readings and things like that," he said. "It's just about, you know, what I land and even if it's a small part in a big movie, to me it's good for the acting reel and something I'd like to continue to do." The post announcing the news at Erna's web site did not describe the role he landed. "Bleed For This" will begin production on November 10 under the direction of Ben Younger, who also directed the 2000 financial drama "Boiler Room" starring Vin Diesel. The movie is executive produced by Martin Scorsese. The film chronicles the true-life story of five-time world champion boxer Vinny Pazienza, who was injured and left with a broken neck in a near-fatal car accident at the peak of his career. After months of recovery and against doctors' orders, Pazienza made a triumphant return to the ring just over a year later. Erna and GODSMACK released their sixth studio album, "1000hp" (One Thousand Horsepower), this past summer.
