Going to see Doro next month...

...Should I expect pure awesomeness, or not set my expectations too high?
Since I don't know what constitutes "pure awesomeness" for you, I can't answer your question directly, but I think that this performance at the German Rock Hard Festival two years ago gives you a good impression of what to expect, though I assume that the setlist might be a bit different, since the set she played at the Rock Hard Festival was mostly concentrating on the stuff with Warlock. But I also saw her doing a "normal" concert at a city festival (entrance was free) about a year ago with a longer set where she played three songs from Warlock's debut album, namely "Burning the Witches", "Metal Racer" and - I don't remember if it was the second or third encore - "Without You". One thing you surely won't have to complain about is a lack of stageacting.

Thanks. I will research that show. This is actually billed as a "The voice of Warlock", "Celebrating 30 years", so I am guessing that there will be a good chuck of Warlock Material mixed in. I'm looking forward to the small intimate setting that this show will be in as well.

According the Facebook event page for the Chicago date, this is a "Triumph and Agony" set, so I expect them to play that album in full but I wouldn't be surprised if they threw in a few other classic jams as an encore or something.

Doro sounded great the other night. Her voice still amazes me. The band was o.k. Bolan looked like he was out of his mind. His energy was out of control. I thought he was going to fall over a few times. He just seemed to jam on in his own world. It was either pure energy and enthusiasm that made him look like a man possessed, or it was caused by other means.

Over all a great show, plus Doro and the band hung around for a long time after the show was finished. She may be one of the most honest, and sincere famous person that I have ever met.

Here's a blurry ass pic of me with her. I never realized just how tiny she is. She stole my heart, too. <3
