Gold Badge entry to the pre-party

I've looked, but not found an answer to the following question.

How do us Gold-Badge holders get into the pre-party early, if we don't actually pick up our Gold Badges until friday?

Also do I need to bring some photos of myself when I collect the Gold Badge or do I just need ID that features a photo of my ugly mug - i.e. passport ??

I think all you need is the conformation number

"7. You will need your confirmation number/photo ID for the pre-party on Thursday for early entrance at 7:00pm. You will not be issued your badge there, but simply be given entrance."

say we have two gold badges (or more) in our name. will we just produce our photo id and confirmation number and the other person (or people) can go on in with us (assuming they match the number of gold badges), i assume?
