In My Kingdom Cold
Any golfers here on the boards? I played one of the courses at Cog Hill yesterday and shot a 46. First time I played in a year, so that is a pretty good score for being as rusty as I was.

I played once. Actually hit someone's roof on the driving range. It was fun, and I considered doing it more, but I never did. In my mind the game has a negative stigma attached to it as a rich white man's game, and that turns me off. I know that is wrong of me, and that there are also rich people of other races that play.

That stigma is going away, tbh. Anyone can fucking play the game, who gives a fuck what economic class you fall into there?

Golf is for senior citizens or people with minimal athleticism.

Someone who has obviously never played and doesn't know the facets of the game. Golfers are some of the most flexible people in sports.

I used to play golf around 5-10 times per summer. But I haven't really played for the last 2 years (save for saturday...played 9 holes with some friends who likes golf more than me and I played 48). I like playing once in a while but that's about it.

Golf can be fun, but arguing that it requires any athleticism at all is bullshit. Most people drive to each hole in a cart for fucks sake.

Not as much as almost all other sports anybody can count. Not criticising golf in any way.. it has some remote little flairs about itself, but it compares nothing to most other alternatives. It's like.. cookiecutter doesn't like ska because he feels metal's a better option.
