Good Interesting Speedcore

I've heard about speedcore bands hitting some ridiculously high bpms. What are some of the more interesting ones of the genre?

For some reason I thought speedcore was a type of metal, not techno (guess I was wrong). Any bands that record actual metal, then speed it up to inhuman levels in the 1000 bpm areas?

Probably not. Is there a point even to just blasting as fast as you can? I'll never understand what people find in a genre whose intrinsic characteristic is speed alone.
