What did you think about our little Earthquake this morning at 5:15 ?

2.9 on the Richter scale.

Felt like our house dropped about 1cm, before jarring back, and could hear it rolling like thunder out toward Portland.

We had what seemed like an earthquake last year, but it turned out to be a sonic boom (or something) from a jet out off the coast. Quite cool. Not ground-shaking, more windows-rattling.

Wasn't there a tiny earthquake in Ferny Grove a year or 3 ago?

Sorry mate. We didn't feel any tiny earthquakes (cue Wrathy and a Tori reference) this morning. Didn't even know there was one until I saw this thread.

We did have a tiny earthquake. I was on the computer at the time and it was just like a large bang! and that was it. Very exciting.

You should have seen it before my in laws upgraded the newsagent from what looked like a general merchndise store in an Eastwood film to a modern newsagent.

You walked in, and the counter was to the left. Glass fronted thing, with boxes of ammo stacked up against the glass.

Yep. It made me feel like I was a failure for not having a pick-up with a gun rack.

Seriously though, if there was going to be an eathquake in Brisbane, I'd expect it to be in Ferny Grove. It's like Stepford and Eerie, Indiana all rolled into one.

The funny thing about Ferny Grove is that there isn't much of a grove, and no, there aren't many ferns either. Ferny Hills is better - at least there are hills there.

I heard about the quake this morning. The report said it affected every area in the Blue Mountains except for Brian and Xena's house.
