according to Blabbermouth:

Steve MacDonald, drummer for the long-running Canadian death metal act GORGUTS, reportedly hung himself a couple of days ago after battling depression for the last few years. An official statement from the rest of the group is expected by the end of the week.

gorguts...hum...i only have the chance to listen to "obscura"...the album is cool...what about the others?

the follow-up to Obscura "From Wisdom to Hate" is also good. As for the others, I hear they are mediocre.

Yeah, this is very sad, his drumming was excellent. Obscura is great (and particularly progressive), but I probably like From Wisdom to Hate just as much. Never heard the first two, they are out of print now.
