Got some new monitors not too long ago and just got a chance to do my first mix. Also got a JCM2000 recently. In any case looking for some feedback on the translation. Haven't gotten a chance to hear this anywhere but on the monitors so the mix may be all over the place.

A lot of you metalheads probably won't dig the song. It's not mine, but thankfully most of you won't know who it is so you won't be able to give me shit. :heh:

Does this one sound better?

Thanks man, how ya been? I don't see ya around the HCAF anymore.

BTW I think my post may have been misleading. It's JCM2000 mixed with Dual Rectifier. :Smug:

Just listened in the car. The guitars sound tubby as hell. I'm gonna try to trim the fat later.

sorry man, but dont like snare and kick at all - snare - too sample feeling, don`t like such tone, kick I think needs more snap, cymbal are too loud and HH are too hard left, guitar tone note bad .dut I think you can make better

hope it helps

You're absolutely right. I got a chance to hear it some other places and did not like what I was hearing at all including guitars. Didn't mind the guitar tone but they were too tubby and needed some trimming.

Yeah I don't like the snare. On my old monitors I had to make sure I could REALLY hear the snare because even when it sounded good on my monitors it was buried everywhere else. I did that on the new ones and it was a mistake. Thin and shitty sounding. The kick I have no excuse for except that I neglected it.

I like my hats pulled hard to one side though. :Smug:

Next mix will be better. :headbang:

Are the drums programmed?
The guitar sound is really good for this kind of music, but I'd like a more pronounced bass, with a tighter low-end.

They are sampled but I triggered them with a midi keyboard. Agreed on the bass. Thanks for checking it out.
