Do they normally televise the Best Hard rock/metal awards during the grammy's? I am curious to who is gonna win. I know most of you probably dont give a shit about this, and frankly the rest of the grammy's can go suck one, but I wanna know if Megadeth with finally win one.

The last grammy show that televised the hard rock or metal parts that I remember was the Metallica one back in the 90's. I know over the last few years they havent put them on TV. Its usually on the "pre-televised" portion of the the awards show.

The Grammys stopped the best hard rock and metal category as well as the best hip hop category after the the Slash and Duff incident. They covered it for 1 more year in 1990 when Metallica played Sandman and that was the end of it, and that was ONLY because Metallica was nominated for album of the year.

metal is a fringe genre. hardly anyone listens to it. there's no way any mass group of people could listen to metal music and actually enjoy it.
