Grave - Soulless is about as good as it gets. Rifftastic!! This and caffeine are going to help to keep me awake for another 11 hours while I try to get back on a normal sleep schedule. :headbang:

yes, indeed. though I prefer Asphyx, Grave and Unleashed are good uns. weirdly, Entombed didn't do much for me.

slower. at least the classic early stuff like THe Rack and Crush the Cenotaph. as they got older, the albums actually started getting faster.

The Rack and the self titled. those two are commonly seen as their best. Last One on Earth is also very good. The Rack and LOoE feature ex-Pestilence front man Martin van Drunen.

also check out Autopsy - Mental Funeral if you haven't already (I know lurch will agree with me here)

LOL - soon, man, soon.

I swear though, if those albums are better than this Death Metal monster, I'm gonna shit my pants over a few brews. I just can't imagine old school Death Metal being any better than this.

P.S. - Greg, this really needs to be enjoyed in the best audio format possible - not sure you can get the same effect from samples ripped at lower speeds.

I had no plans on Saturday. Started looking to see if any bands were around. I saw that Grave is playing Gramercy on Saturday. I check RC... thought I recalled Jason pimping these guys. I listen... not bad... what the hell... I'll go. I text Aurel and Ali. Aurel says, "Wish I could go, especially with Blood Red Throne opening."

WTF!?

Blood Red Throne is my favorite DM band. Happy, happy, joy, joy.
