Go on then! Give us your lists or just a random bunch of titles in a non-specific order. Reveal those hidden gems that only you have heard of as well as the crowd pleasers.

I wouldn't be surpised if Worship Music pops up a lot, but knowing this board, I wouldn't be surprised if someone said that it ranks amongst the worst releases of the year either.

And if you drop a list in this thread, crawl off to bed and suddenly realize that you forgot to mention a few essential releases, don't let it give you a sleepless night. Just ad another post at a suitable time.

My chosen ones thus far?

Anthrax -Worship Music
Machine Head - Unto the Locust
...And you will know us by the trail of dead - Tao of the dead
Bill Wells & Aiden Moffat - Everything's getting older
Foo Fighters - Wasting Light
Elbow -Build a Rocket Boys
Devin Townsend - Deconstruction
Maybeshewill - I was there for a moment, then I was gone

..to mention a few.

Sitting in an airplane, surfing the net (I love on-board wifi) and listening to Black Junk by Exit_International. Another enjoyable 2011-release.

Worship Music
Evile - Five Serpent's Teeth
Warbringer - Worlds Torn Asunder
DT- Deconstruction
Animals as Leaders - Weightless
Born of Osiris - The discovery
Last Chance to Reason - Lvl. 2

Anthrax
Evanescence
Machine Head
Chickenfoot
Sick of It All

Those are about the only records I listen to from this year.

Id say the latest Machine Head albums is the best of the year. They are definitely the best current Metal band out there IMO.

I am really looking forward to the new Testament album and new Soulfly album in 2012!!
