Great Helloween interview circa Pink Bubbles Go Ape!

We poison our hearts
We poison our seas:yow:
We burn down the paradise

We're stoppin' good waves
We're losin' our trees
The future looks bright ahead
I don't wonder we'll go under in this river of lies

We're lost in this time
We create so fine
The future we already fear
Seems like no way out, seems like there's no doubt
The future looks bright ahead

We're the kids of the century
We're lost in our games
No time for the memories we look in the haze
We're the kids of the century it wasn't our fault
Ev'rything's done mum, we fall
Let's keep on crying
But sometimes I don't wanna fall

Ev'rytime when you look around things will smile at you
Ev'rytime when you turn around you smell the truth
But you run away from the lies you can't say
Don't run away from the lies you can't say

We're the kids ...

Cool interview!
Thanks for sharing.
I like at the 4:00 mark where Weiketh (SP??) picks a winner and wipes it on Kiske's sleeve!

I never knew the sleeve designer worked with Zep and Pink Floyd. Certainly helps explain where the creative drive for it came from.

I was a huge fan back in the day.
Without proper US distribution, Helloween fell off my radar once Kai left. I never even knew about Pink Bubbles Go Ape until MANY years after it was released. I found it as a Japanese import (Came with a t shirt!!!). Definitely one of the most underrated pieces in Helloween's discography.

lol I had that Japanese import too with the t-shirt! Did yours have the t-shirt wrapped with Helloween tape to the CD like mine did? Curious where you got yours? I got mine from a record show .

Those who are familiar with his work would recognize a Storm Torgerson album cover instantly. I'm not shocked that with the name of the album and the art design probably turned off a lot of Helloween fans. It is SO not metal.

I've been starting to pick up these albums. While PBGA is ok, the real gem seems to be Chameleon. I was amazed how good of an album that was.

YES!!!!!!! It was Helloween tape.
I got mine at a Record Convention at the Holiday Inn in Hillside, IL.

The t shirt had a low quality iron on image of the CD cover.
It is somewhere at my parents house, as I got this probably over 15 years ago now.

There is one coming up next Sunday in fact, though it is now a Best Western.

That's the one I have listened to the least out of the ones I had to "catch up on" in their catalog. I really need to revisit it. At first listen, it didn't grab me, yet so many people claim how good it is.

I will try to remember to pull it out soon.
