Well, there's already a thread for death metal riffs, and although black metal isn't as heavily riff based, I figured it deserved it's own thread anyway. So here goes, post songs and try to specify the times and riffs your referring to.

Sorry for the annoyingly long opening post.

There's some damn good shit there,i'd also like to add,Misery's Omen,Profanatica,Anatomy,Absu and Sacramentary Abolishment..There's stuff all on youtube that i wanted to post,so did'nt bother.

Whole song, best riff in all of black metal at 0:33 - 1:20. Then another all-time great at 1:48 - 2:01.

Again, the whole song, but the best is 3:04 until the end of the song.

Opening riff.

And that's why early Gorgoroth is as good as it gets. More later.

Throne of Ahaz - 'The Kings That Were...' (couldn't find it on youtube, unfortunately but the last couple minutes are noteworthy)

3:31 until the end of the song.

Entire song.

Riff starts out accoustic at 1:54 and has a few different variations throughout the song.

This whole song (like the album) is a fucking work of art, but the last riff might be the best thing I've ever heard.

Oh, and this monster needs to be mentioned.

Mostly black metal riffs are too simple, but there are exception of course.
