In 2008 all of us wishing Greg Christian was writing more music were thrilled to hear that he had been working on a side project, called Trinity Fallen.
Here's an interview (we all know there aren't many with Greg, unfortunately) where he mentions that (at approx. 13:45) and says 80% of the record is written, but he still doesn't have the right people to do it: http://www.captaint.com/talkingmetal/talkingmetaleps237.mp3.
The name of the project is also mentioned on Greg's official MySpace, which hasn't been updated in a long time: http://www.myspace.com/gregorychristian/music.

He's the only one who described the music. Here are some quotes:

I haven't found more information. Does anyone know whether this is going to be another Suicide Shift or there is any chance that this material will be released (Ms. A.)?
I don't remember this being discussed here. There was a thread about Greg and Jon Dette joining Havochate back in 2004 (http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/testament/148206-jon-dette-greg-christian-update.html).
As everybody knows Jon was soon replaced by Ron Lipnicki (who is now in Overkill), but Greg managed to record an album with them in 2005 ("Cycle of Pain"). Apparently, they're back together (https://www.facebook.com/HavocHate, http://www.havochatemetal.com/, http://www.myspace.com/havochate)

Before that Greg and Jon were in a nu metal band called Pushed. There was some media hype around them at that time, but nothing really came out of it.
In the 90's, after leaving Testament, Greg formed Flange which featured Chris Kontos and Dave Lopez. I remember reading somewhere (many years ago) that he was doing some funk-oriented stuff back then, but was it funky metal or straight funk, was it with Flange or outside, I don't know.
Anyway, given how incredibly talented Greg is, and being a fan of the songs he wrote or helped write with Testament, I'd love to hear his own music (be it funk influenced or not) - of course done during his time-off from Testament
. Seems like it may not happen soon, though.
