just got an allotment garden -- we pay $15 a year and get a roughly 15 x 3.5 meter garden where we can grow whatever the fuck we like. including free soil & manure & water and use of communal tools. THIS IS SWEDISH COMMUNISM IN ACTION folks. not very far from home either. this is really awesome because i'm gonna grow the fuck out of some vegetables and herbs and spices.

what should i grow bros. my chiles stay at home, gonna keep them on the balcony. got some tomatoes and cucumbers going on, though. also: epazote, thyme, basil, cilantro -- all of which may or may not move outside, depending on how suitable they are for northern swedish grimness. gonna probably buy onions, chives, dill, parsley, carrots, scorzonera, spinach, mangold etc etc

also tell me about your efforts to grow plants and stuff

We have three tomato plants that sat around for a year doing nothing but have now started a serious production run, I'm going to have one of my sammitch in about an hour. Cayenne pepper, basil, and occasional other herbs make regular appearances in our minimalistic Victory Garden at home.

I want to learn from Max in this thread. If we buy a house the first step is a bigass garden. Based on our dietary intake, several varieties of onion will probably be one of the first attempts, and if I can grow cheese on a vine, that too.

CHECK THIS OUT
