I thought this would be fun...

This is a three part clip with the Sans Amps GT2 driving the Clean channel on the REV1. Actually this is a GT2 (KLEEN Channel) followed by the Rev1 (KRANK Channel) then the GT2 (KLEEN Channel) again.

This clip is a reamp using the Septic Ashes Clean Guitar tracks posted here

The Chain is
OD808
(1st & 3rd Parts) GT2 into KLEEN Channel
(2nd Part) KRANK Channel
REV 1
V30
i5

There is a clear difference when going from Kleen to Krank (I still hate those channel names  ) apart from just the tone difference. The Krank channel clearly has more response due to playing dynamics. Sans distortion is just flat-one-level type of sound. Similar tone, just the dynamics are lacking/missing. IMHO. :)

The Tone of the GT2 does sound good, extremely comparable, just flat response, sterile, lacking warmth. The Krank channel just seems to deliver that bit of a bark due to the playing dynamics. When I compare the sound from the same riff at 5 - 7 seconds to 7 - 9 seconds, there is clearly a real difference. It's kind of like listening to something in Mono and then flicking it to Stereo for the want of a better analogy.

Interesting test.

At first I was only going to post the GT2, but after playing with this some I decided to post both....

I had the Krank dialed much closer to the GT2 but I didn't know when to stop...
