No DI's

I don't know your opinion about matching eq (i don't like btw), but it could rescue you on this. You could try to check the eq responses of them and try to add to the tone with your favorite eq (ahjteam did a video tutorial with qclone and IR's). Just an idea.
 
DI's never used to be a big thing.... why are they seen as a requirement nowadays? Mix their shitty tracks, get paid. End of.

Because back in the day kids didn't insist on recording their music with nothing but a Line6 UX, POD Farm and a tutorial off of an internet forum :lol:

Seriously though, I never decline work if there aren't any DI's. Once I actually had to run a horribly, horribly recorded guitar amp through an amp sim just to get anywhere near enough gain. That was an... interesting release in many ways.

Problem solved, we're retracking Monday morning and I got an up-sale. He took it surprisingly well when I told him I'd rather have herpes than Line6
