I don't know your opinion about matching eq (i don't like btw), but it could rescue you on this. You could try to check the eq responses of them and try to add to the tone with your favorite eq (ahjteam did a video tutorial with qclone and IR's). Just an idea.

Because back in the day kids didn't insist on recording their music with nothing but a Line6 UX, POD Farm and a tutorial off of an internet forum

Seriously though, I never decline work if there aren't any DI's. Once I actually had to run a horribly, horribly recorded guitar amp through an amp sim just to get anywhere near enough gain. That was an... interesting release in many ways.

It's uncanny dude. I watching this thing kill my 2 buss and I can't hear it it all. It's like the dominate frequency is 40hz! Solo it up, there it is. Awful tool in the wrong hands.
