I was following some links and ended up at http://www.guitarmasterpro.net/. Is this a decent learning thing, or a waste of time? Anyone used it? Sounds cheesy, but I don't know anything about playing.

Read every review you can get your hands on, and I would be EXTREMELY cautious about it. Anything that claims to get you to virtuosic heights in a fraction of the time most great players took to climb there should be given the "I smell bulls*it" eyebrow.

Yeah SCAM! I "Xed" out of the screen and it was trying to sell me something and told me if I *wanted* it, I had to hit *Cancel* instead of *ok*.

check out the lessons section. after years of browsing the web his lessons page easily has the best material i have ever come across, just read through those, so much extremely valuable information just right at your fingertips.... normally you have to dig through about 50 pages of guitar stuff to find a decent lesson.
