Guitar mics for Pantera records

Hey!
Does anyone here happen to know what mics Terry Date used on the guitar cabinets on Vulgar display of power and Far beyond driven?

...or perhaps which mic on the guitars on Fear Factory's Demanufacture?

I'm pretty sure I read that he just used a 57.

The more I listen to both earlier Pantera and Fear Factory it makes me think of a 57 mixed with the highs from a real crunchy cigar condis....but I dunno...

dont know about pantera but with FF Colin tended to use 57 and 421 combo back then

Do you know if Colin placed the 57 and 421 identically, or did he place them different..?
Btw, would I experience phasing problems if mixing dynamic and condensator microphones on a cabinett?

Turn up the volume on the amp til you hear a LOT of hum. Reverse the phase on one of the mics. Move one of them til you hear no hum, or very little. Reverse the phase back. Woala, now you have two mics perfectly in phase.
