That's it, GP6 is getting me even more frustrated than ever. I just realized you just cannot copy paste measures on top of existing measures in GP6, which means you can only paste a whole section (with all the notes on all instruments) or you can only paste your individual measures with it creating blank measures for the other instruments. It's like copy pasting in Word where at every paste you do it moves it to a new blank page instead of pasting it where your cursor is. That company is totally retarded, the new version has gone backwards huge time, the GUI sucks, is slow and sluggish on my macbookpro 2011, just to write a few notes, they removed key features, and aren't able to implement a normal paste function in their shiny program. On top of that they don't listen to their customers (I have seen so many rants similar to mine on their forum). It's incredible.
My rant over, I'm really needing to go back to version 5. Problem is that it seems it's impossible to buy it anymore for mac, and it doesn't work on the current OsX version anyway and is of course discontinued.
So does any of you have luck with it ?
Do you know if using paralellos or virtualbox or any other virtualization program would do the trick ? I could install it on my dualboot, but having to turn off the computer, manage a second install of Reaper on windows etc just to be able to compose on guitar pro is a turn off. I would like to be able to start GP5 while I'm playing guitar, so that when I have a good idea I can carve it in stone right away and create my tab, because that is my workflow and that is how I wrote songs in the matter of a few hours sometimes.
I would pay to have GP5 working on macosx.
