Guitar question.

This might be a silly question but I thought I would ask anyhow:

Are there any guitars made in China ( ) that are good/decent?

I only ask because my GF father has to go over there frequently on buisness trips and it's alot cheaper to get that shit direct.

The only thing I can think of is Yamaha, but I dunno any good Yamaha guitars so

NM thats Japan.

Crap, well I probably will still ask since he said something about the ability (if you wanted) to buy a baby grand yamaha for half of what it costs in the states, then he said "then you got to figure out how to get it here "

But a guitar might be a little more doable.

Japan ?
Tokai
Greco
Burny/Fernandes
Orville By Gibson/Orville
Ornetts
Bacchus
Edwards/ESP/Navigator
Epiphone Elite
Fender Japan
Caparison
What else?

I supose that guitars made in china are for its sale in other parts and maybe they don´t sell that guitars there, for example you don´t find mexican fender strings here in mexico, the strings must be exported to US and then imported back to Mexico same with mexican strats. but maybe im wrong

That's only because the shop is over the border where they make the stuff. They do that because they can pay Mexican labor at $3.50/hour instead of American at $7.75/hour, which is the minimum wage in Texas. It's all business. But even still, the products have to be shipped to the central headquarters for processing, inspection, inventory, etc. before they go out to be sold - which is in the US. It's shitty, I know, but that's how they roll.
