Hi guys, one quick question here regarding DI guitar recording. Say strumming a powerchord only phrase, will you mute the unrelated and strum all the string or just strum the exact 2 or 3 strings of the powerchord? cheers!

Well you might not typically be 'strumming' a power chord in metal but not sure what you are doing exactly. If it fits the song...

You are striking only the two notes (root and fifth) with typically a relatively strong downstroke against both notes. You can upstroke them too if the pattern calls for it.
