FYI also for potential voters to read - do not make multiple accounts to be able to vote more than once etc. - your votes will be disqualified. Same for posting on other sites saying "just go vote for me" etc.

Haven't seen any issues yet, but just posting due to past issues with voting competitions like this.

Holy sh... 15 is loud! Is the wave peaking exactly at -1db? The mp3 is clipping. I guess it's your decision not to disqualify the submission. Shame on the guy though, unless he did it as a protest against this very approach.

Might have considered voting for him otherwise, but I guess I'll choose '13' out of these.

the -1dB was more of a guideline than a rule since you weren't allowed to use master bus processing... In the screenshot it is peaking at -1.0, but I guess the wav conversion made some interpolation errors which made it peak.

I checked and the guitars only file also hits 0.0, so I guess he wanted to guitars really loud :)

and my comments on these: generally a really good batch,

11: my favourite from the batch, very balanced and similar to what I would've made it
12: very good too, but the slap back reverb/delay on the pause parts is a bit distracting, instruments are nicely gelled between each other and would most likely work nicely with vocals
13: good overall, nothing major to complain about
14: the grain on the rhythm guitar is a bit strange and the lead and rhythm guitars aren't very well glued together, but otherwise okay
15: the basic balance is a bit off, bass is really loud and overpowering the whole mix, the lead tone sounds really hollow and the elements don't sound very gelled

11: A really good mix overall. Possibly best balance, but the leads are a bit "shy" for my taste (but still nice tone in it).

12: Also a very nice mix, I absolutely like the bass on this one most. Nice balance overall. Picked it because the rhythms are a bit more edgy than on 11. Would be nice if they were mixed in just a tad louder.

13: Again, a very well balanced mix. I like the leads most on this one.

14: I like the bite and clearliness of the rhythm guitars.

15: A bit too loud guitars for me, the leads have some strange midtones.

After a quick "sneak preview" af all rounds, this one has the one of the best balanced mixes overall to me. A hard round to pick one, for several reasons.
