Was that the show where Michael Jackson thought he was accepting the Artist of the Millennium award but wasn't? Damn, wanted to see that. :)

Yeah I dig her cos #1 she's actually a talented singer, which is a bit of a change for the pop world, and #2 she looks fit and healthy and strong, like she could probably bench press as much as I can! Plus she does kickboxing... so that's pretty cool

damn fit people :(

I've no respect for Pink.....was unfortunate enough to see the making of one of her videos on MTV in Indo, and she's just awful. One of those "I was such a bad girl at school" types. Try-hard rebel, now making commercial music.

Axl. Well some of his old live stuff wasn't that great. One of the things I love about the old gnr is how they were a real rock band. Beer, whiskey, women, silly hair, attitude and all the rest. From what I've heard about the new lot, they're nothing like that.

They have silly hair, but not big long hair, its more like rock hard spikes and stuff, and dreadlocks in Axl's case. The attitude, whiskey, women, etc factor seems to have gone out the window though and they're just following the new heavy rock trend really.

I'm with Sydo. I heard they were shite at the awards, so I expected nothing from them, but they weren't that bad. The playing was very tight, and Axl sounded as I imagined he would live, and as he does on live recordings. Everyone has been bagging his performance, bu I don't think it was that far off what he would have sounded like back in the day.
As for the rest of the band, the playing was tight, so I don't really care what they looked like, they sounded good to me. I will be interested in hearing the new album (if and when it ever gets released) justout of curiosity.

Anyway, I think they only appeared on the awards to promote their US tour, and it seems to have worked, as they are playing sold out venues...

Blitz- Axl sounded a lot better back in the Appetite days, when he concentrated on singing instead of running around like a knobend and getting out of breath.
Check the Live At The Ritz bootleg video for proof :)
