Fuck. That's awful. I hate fire, one of my few fears. And to lose your wife in a fire, god. I hope he recovers. Or not, whichever he would prefer. I personally don't know if I'd want to live after having something like that happen to me.

well, he just died, too. honestly, it's for the best. he lost his home AND his wife of 25 years... he would have been fucking miserable if he had survived. he was definitely a good guy, but when everything crumbles like that, it's time to check out.
