Is this confirmed? 'Cause I've been holding out on getting the DVDs on the hopes that they would come out with a mega box set... But...avi said:
the extended Two Towers is really amazing. i can't really judge it as a stand-alone film for non-Tolkienites, though, and i concede that the theatrical release might have been better for that purpose. however, give me the four-hour versions of all three films!

Anyone else watch all of the commentary/behind the scenes stuff from all the big dvds? I think I have like 12 hours of that stuff in my brain!
i have the extended Two Towers (4 discs) and extended Fellowship (4 discs) and i have yet to watch any of the "extras". i don't care how you made Gollum, seriously, i just want the full long movies.

oh, for sure. i'm plenty happy with buying them all individually. i'm going to be UNBELIEVABLY pissed if the big box includes cut scenes not included on the extended editions, though.
