thanks to all who came out, hope you guys enjoyed the party. the turnout was great actually! Wish i could have hung out more but I actually had to drive a friend's wife (who was beyond wasted) home 
a little drama, but it didnt spoil my evening.
btw. whoever suggested I see Volbeat (saw them in Allentown last night) should really rethink their decision to do that next time around. No hard feelings.

That was me... no offense taken. Saturday was the second time I've seen them live, and the second time they absolutely fucking slayed. The dozen or so people I know who saw them Saturday, all of whom hadn't seen them prior, were all blown away and are now fans. Just curious... was your issue with them the execution of the songs or that you simply do't care for what they do?
By the way... it was cool to finally meet you. And the new disc is superb... even if you apparently have awful taste in live music.

haha yeah, no, their execution was fine. The sound was fine too. Actually I have had a chance to meet their sound guy on a couple occasions in the past through some people in Philadelphia.
They're just too happy-go-lucky for me. not my vibe -'s all. Plus I'd never think they're Danish based on appearance and such. if not for the slight accent of the vocalist I would think they're an American band. There were plenty of people into the in Allentown.

Yeah... they're definitely not aggressive. I've actually heard them described as Elvis Metal. I just dig the vibe. Things are really happening for them. I believe each of their last two discs went to number one in Denmark. When we saw them in Sweden Rock, I'd say they drew a crowd of like 15,000. And the place just went nuts for them.
I'm sure we'll be there next time you guys play locally. Good luck in Chicago.
