yea the movie explained a lot of "why" concerning michael but it wasnt a very scary movie.

texas chainsaw massacre the begenning is totally better in gore and suspense. that is one fucked up movie, especially the ending. you walk away fucking depressed.

yeah, i was really dissappointed with TCM the beginning...it was pretty much the same story with a minor ammount of background and instead of someone getting away they all die.

well, i dont watch horror movies to develop any kind of sympathy for a character - im too old for that. i just watch to see people get their guts hacked out. texas chainsaw the begenning - if u watch the uncut version - has lots of that shit and it's fairly disturbing. so while the killings in halloween may be more troubling to you because of the reasoning behind them, they completely lacked any sense of the need to turn away from the tv because theyre grotesque. theyre just not visually impressive.
