Look hanging is weak. Before the pain sets in they're dead. Flaying is very brutal and a good idea but i would look somewhere along the lines of death by fire. Your alive for most of it and it hurts like a bitch. Especially if you leave a gap between the body and your fuel source. Most people make the mistake of putting the body too close and the flames, Its too hot there and they will die too quickly. A good way to do it is have the body chained above the flame, Then you will get the best results. By the way im not mental so dont be afraid.
